Understanding Grief and Helping Others Cope

This class will look at:

  • Differences between grief, bereavement and mourning
  • Different types of grief and what they mean to the bereaved
  • Putting death into a social perspective
  • How talking about death and dying can minimize stress and trauma on the bereaved

Where?

This two-hour class can be booked across Shropshire, Telford & Wrekin and will run in Shrewsbury at:

The Central (Old Baptist Church), Claremont Street, Shrewsbury SY1 1QG or TBA

Locations of classes are subject to change depending on the location of participants. We do our best to book a venue nearest the group attending the classes. So let us know where you would like to have a class.

Who?

Visiting experts in the field of death studies will teach this class. We have death studies specialists from around the UK as well as local bereavement counselors who will enlighten you about ways in which we grieve and how to avoid problematic pitfalls.

How Much?

£35.00 concession and £40.00 for all others.

Whilst the organisation will not make a profit, we have kept the fees for these classes as low as possible in order to cover the overhead costs, refreshments and any special speakers we organise. Additional donations are gratefully accepted.
