This workshop extends the training in Part 1: How to talk about death & loss in healthy ways and is perfect for professionals and adults wanting to increase his/her understanding and improve communications around death, dying and loss. Dr Wester, an expert in death studies, enlivens the topic with practical and fascinating material. This Level Two workshop, with 5 hours Continuing Professional Development certificate, will:

  • Extend your knowledge of how grief affects the individual and cultural community

  • Improve your ability to console the bereaved

  • Review notions of time and how to use them

  • Help you understand the behaviours of the bereaved

  • Explore the meaning of legacy

  • Cover the importance of memory & memorial
