We would like to say a huge ‘Thank You’ to the Midcounties Co-operative Community Fund for the wonderful support they have given to CEDAR Education Life Lessons Programme. This funding has allowed us to develop a death education programme for one of our local Shropshire schools and assist our volunteer staff in getting additional training for our programmes. We were also able to use the funds to deliver our research on death education in secondary schools to the 14th International Conference on Death, Dying and Disposal at the University of Bath in September 2019.
Without the funding of our sponsors and corporate sponsors, we would not be able to help young people who have experienced bereavement, and their peers, to learn about how to talk to one another about death, dying and loss in healthy and appropriate ways. Death Education has proven to be beneficial through confidence building, stress management and creating community resilience. For more information on our programme click here.
